Steve's Stuff

Sadly we have reached the time where we have no choice but to sell Steve's bikes.

Proceeds will go to Steve's estate and it was Steve's last wish that the final proceeds would be put in trust for his children.

  1. Hi,

I was sent a video today by a friend of one of Steve's old man masks video's. me being me, I decided to check out his channel and had many hours of laughter and enjoyment from watching ants eat a grapefruit, to watching him get a ticket on purpose. I really enjoyed his videos and even bookmarked him to keep up to date. It was only when I got to more recent videos I spotted a comment RIP. I was shocked to learn of his passing. I did not know Steve and never had the pleasure of chatting with him, but one thing I can say is he must have been a real great guy. You can always tell the nature of a person by the friends they have, and it is evident that Steve had a wealth of friends from some of his videos. My deepest condolences to Steve's Mum, Family, Kids and Friends. He was an absolute credit to you!

From a friend that never met! Martin (Eire)
    RIP Buddy!

  3. I still find it very difficult to handle Svens passing. I'm 27 right now and have been riding quite a few years. I subscribed to his videos a very long time ago and was one of the people that watched the live broadcast of his funeral. It saddens me that this world can be so cruel and harsh to us all.

I know that if he could look at this from beyond the grave, that he would realise how much his life meant to us.

My father died last year at the age of 52, I'm still finding that difficult to get my head round.

I guess we should honour the good times and respect each other more on this planet, no matter what happens I will save a place in my heart & mind for sven/steve

  5. To Steve's Mum,
Hi I didn't know Steve personally but I have been following some of his videos on Youtube regarding both his bike adventures and Geocaching and i find it hard to come to terms and deeply saddened with the fact that Steve has died in unusual circumstances.
There was one thing that I found puzzeling and that was that it seemed Steve had a stalker; someone who he referred to in one of his videos as a ''40 year old child'' and that this person stole 20 of Steve's geocaches one day in late January 2012. To go round and do that to me seems extremely obsessive behaviour and I was wondering if this person had been questioned by the police with regards to Steve's death?
    Kind Regards,
    Johnohanlon@uwclub.net

  6. Hi John

Thanks for your concern. Everything has been investigated by the police and we are sure that Steve took his own life.

There was someone damaging his caches, which was childish and silly, but nothing to do with his death.

Some of Steve's friends are currently working to get all his caches back up and running as they are far too clever and cryptic to be lost forever!

  8. Hi John

In the meantime there are quite a few of his caches still out there and working, they are currently in the ownership of his brother, just search for caches owned by 'chrisluv'and those placed by Steve should come up. They are under various names: Svengalie, Sven and Sven&Cup (Sven&Cup are those placed by Steve and his girlfriend Nicole)

If you are into Greenlaning we are currently working to keep his Byway Database up and running, more details here: http://svengalie.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/greenlaning.html

  14. Steve was one of the nicest most genuine guys out there. Like he says, he had nothing to prove, just an idiot with a camera or something to those words. I lived in Notts to so we had a kinda connection. We spoke a few times and he invited to meet up next time I was over his way. I enjoyed chatting about his tech gadgets and watching his unboxing clips. Such a shame to cut his life so short but I wasn't in his shoes. All I know is he lived his short life to the full. I remember I searched the internet for a decent non swearing vlogger for weeks before I came across Steve. He did swear on the odd occasion but that's ok. I used to watch him for many hours with my young son sat next to me and I remember saying to him the once "well done for keeping the swearing at a minimum as kids like to watch your channel" and he replied in a cheeky way "well you better not watch the next one then" lol. That was his great humour. Rest In Peace matey. Get your knee down on those bends in the sky. As your children grow and read these they will see how popular and loved you were but I have a feeling they already know that.

  15. Thanks raptured14. You are right, he did live life to the full and if there is an afterlife he will be having the biggest adventure ever and no doubt making everyone laugh.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your memories, we really appreciate it. :)

  16. I am sorry to learn Sven has passed away. I know he would have been a typical biker, easy to talk to and he would never of asked why you rode a motorcycle!

He has not gone too far away though, he is in his loved ones ' hearts.

I think love is a funny thing , you can give it away and still have it yourself.

    RIP Buddy.
